Professional Disciplinary Proceedings
Members of Compass Chambers have considerable experience and expertise in appearances before disciplinary tribunals relating to a wide variety of professions.
Members have acted for and against doctors, dentists, solicitors, advocates, accountants, actuaries and teachers in such matters. In addition to appearances, advising such bodies as assessors and providing general legal advice to them regarding policy and other matters, members have regularly appeared before the courts when appeals are taken against decisions of such bodies.
In this area as with others, we offer the facility of direct access via the Faculty of Advocates' Direct Access Rules. We aim to provide an efficient and cost effective referral and advisory service.
