Practice Manager
Gavin Herd heads up the clerking team as the Practice Manager of Compass Chambers. He has extensive clerking experience having worked as a Deputy Advocates Clerk for 9 years. Gavin also has an LLB from Edinburgh University.
The knowledge and experience he has gained puts Gavin in an excellent position to judge what clients are looking for and which of our members would be most suited to undertake their work.
Solicitors and other clients are actively encouraged to discuss fees in advance. Fee agreements can be entered into at an early stage in proceedings in order that clients understand fully what the cost will be.
Gavin encourages feedback regarding the work that the clerking team and members of Compass Chambers provide. He would welcome any comments you may have.
